SOCIAL STIGMA

a severe social disapproval of personal characteristics or beliefs that are perceived to be against cultural norms. Erving Goffman defined stigma as 'the process by which the reaction of others spoils normal identity'

Remembrance

GET under IT

We spotted this while touring through the local museum/archives.  It was perched high up on a shelf in a display of a 'period correct' library.  We also found a dead hobo.
The swastika shape was used by some Native Americans. It has been found in excavations of Mississippian-era sites in the Ohio and Mississippi River valleys. It is frequently used as a motif on objects associated with the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex (S.E.C.C.). It was also widely used by many southwestern tribes, most notably the Navajo. Among various tribes, the swastika carried different meanings. To the Hopi it represented the wandering Hopi clan; to the Navajo it was one symbol for a whirling log (tsil no'oli'), a sacred image representing a legend that was used in healing rituals (after learning of the Nazi association, the Navajo discontinued use of the symbol).

He probably really DOES hate you....

Everybody knows you dont go E+W

Demon Hole

enter through the gates of the barn
feel the dust rise from the floor
the walls crack with vibrations of powerful thoughts  from the furthest corners of the brain
drop to your knees and scream all the way home
that you dont know why you keep screaming but the colours keep coming
and they wont stop until they flow out of the barn and into the irises of the world
and down its throat
drowning it and beating it down til it bleeds out its sorry demon hole
